In Yekaterinburg, local residents began to complain about the invasion of cockroaches. This was reported by the E1.ru portal on Thursday, January 20.
According to residents of the city, it is not possible to get rid of insects with the help of conventional means. Especially a lot of cockroaches are observed at Uralmash, Sorting and Elmash, Akademichesky. Residents of Zheleznodorozhny, Ordzhonikidzevsky, Chkalovsky, Oktyabrsky and Akademichesky also complain.
“We have been settled since 2020, and nothing helps. Before that, there were no cockroaches for 15 years, but here they come and go. There is a feeling that it is impossible to kill them, ”one of the residents of Khimmash is quoted by the 360 TV channel.
According to experts, the invasion of cockroaches may be associated with coronavirus. People began to spend more time at home, and more garbage began to accumulate. Insects came from crumbs and leftover food. Experts have warned that cockroaches can be dangerous to humans because they carry sewage and parasites.
Getting rid of cockroaches with chemistry is not easy, because they get used to it. According to exterminators, in February there may be even more cockroaches. To cope with them, experts advised to process all the apartments in the house by submitting a mass application to a special service.
On January 19, Svetlana Roslavtseva, head of the laboratory for pest control problems at the Institute of Disinfectology of Rospotrebnadzor, warned Russians about a sharp increase in the number of cockroaches in late January-February in a conversation with Moscow 24. The second breeding peak occurs in the summer.
This situation is observed throughout Russia, however, breeding periods may shift somewhat due to changes in the intensity of the sun. According to the exterminator from Rospotrebnadzor, the appearance of cockroaches in the house is provoked by food and animal feed not cleaned at night, unsanitary conditions in the house, as well as dripping taps, writes Pravda.Ru.
On January 19, it became known that the school in Nizhny Novgorod, whose students complained about cockroaches in food from the canteen, would conduct an internal investigation.
