Netflix released the first official image of Barry Keoghan in the “Peaky Blinders” movie

The series will feature the original cast of the series and great actors, including Tim Roth and Rebecca Ferguson.

The movie of Peaky Blinders continues to generate buzz and today Netflix gave a first look at the star of Saltburn, Barry Keoghanwho joins the film’s cast.

Keoghan has broken out over the past two years with a string of big roles, including Masters of the Air and Top Boy. He was nominated for an Oscar for the film Martin McDonagh The Banshees of Inisherin.

What is known about the Peaky Blinders movie

Keoghan joins the franchise Steven Knight next to Tim Roth and Rebecca Ferguson. They join the cast starring Cillian Murphy, Stephen Graham and Sophie Rundlewho played Ada, the sister of the leader of the Birmingham clan played by Oscar winner Tommy Shelby. In the series finale, Tommy handed the reins of the family business to Ada.

They will also be part of the movie Tom Harper, Ned Dennehywho played Charlie Strong in the series; Packy Leeknown to fans as Johnny Dogs; and Ian Peckwhich was Curly.

Details about the new roles are being kept under wraps.

The six-season BBC drama came to an end in April 2022, but that wasn’t the end of Tommy’s story. Plot details for the film are also a secret, aside from the fact that it takes place during World War II. Knight recently said: “I’m excited to see the cameras rolling on this new chapter of the Peaky Blinders story, set during World War II. The country is at war and, of course, so are our Peaky Blinders“.

The continuation of the saga is written by Knight, who produces alongside Patrick Holland, Murphy and Guy Heeley. Executive producers include Harper, David Kosse, Jamie Glazebrook, Caryn Mandabach and Andrew Warren. The film will be made in association with BBC Film.
