Former First Deputy Head of the Department of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation for Khakassia Vyacheslav Pavin was detained. This was reported by the source of Izvestia.
At the same time, a criminal case against the man has not yet been initiated.
According to the source, Pavin was detained on the night of January 20.
“This is not connected with activities in the authorities and his work in the UK. Now he is in the Investigative Committee,” the source said.
There have been no official comments on the case yet.
Pavin began his career as an investigator. Later, he took the post of First Deputy Head of the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee for the Republic of Khakassia. In May 2017, he left this post. The dismissal decree stated that the dismissal was due to retirement for long service.
