The author and director Macarena García Lenzi re-released “My Favorite Things” after being presented several years ago and together with the actress Valeria Giorcelli they achieved an intelligent update that includes comments on the current situation in the country. The most attractive thing is that this play for four characters has only one on stage.
A group of friends invited to have tea. Everything takes place in the intimacy of the living room, in a beautiful and simple set with curtains through which the protagonist enters and disappears, at the same time welcoming those “friends.”
The progress of the story reaches a climax that abruptly changes course, leaving the viewer with a bunch of questions like infinite keys that cannot find the lock. Are these friends the product of an imagination that conspires toward the ultimate goal of feeling accompanied and loved? Or is it like the childhood game? But what was it really like that happened? The charm of getting lost in the different versions of the truth, and the eternal question of what really happened.
