After his victory in the presidential elections, Donald Trump presents a cabinet made up of resonant figures. Three of the names that resonate are Robert Kennedy Jr., Elon Musk and Mike Pompeo for the areas of Health, Deregulation and Defense.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was one of those targeted during Trump’s campaign, who has hinted that he would play a “big role” in his second government in the area of health. Elon Musk would have a role in deregulation with potential “drastic reforms” and Mike Pompeo, who is former director of the CIA, would return to be part of the Trump administration in Defense.
Who are the members of Donald Trump’s cabinet?
Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a public health anti-vaccine
Kennedy, nephew of former President John F. Kennedy, is an environmental lawyer with no medical or public health degrees. He is the president of Children’s Health Defensean organization that ensures that Vaccines increase cases of autism spectrum disorder in childrenalthough there is no scientific evidence of this.
He also opposes the addition of fluoride to drinking water, which helps protect teeth, stating that the mineral lowers “the IQ of our children.” Although he denied being anti-vaccine, he maintained that “people should be able to choose” with “the best information” before getting vaccinated.
According to NBC News, this Wednesday he said that he was not going to “take away vaccines from anyone” as part of the Republican’s cabinet. Kennedy also said he would eliminate corruption in public health agencies like the Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Some departments, including those focused on nutrition, “have to go,” he told NBC. “They are not protecting our children.” As president, Trump would have only limited authority to make some of these changes, and some would require congressional approval. However, during the campaign, Trump said he would let Kennedy “do what he wants with health.”

Elon Musk, the deregulatory businessman
Regarding the businessman, owner of companies like Tesla and X, Trump hinted that he would give Musk a role outside the Cabinet in its administration to help eliminate “government waste.” The area would be called “Department of Government Efficiency”, with the aim of making drastic reforms.
“I will create a government efficiency commission in charge of carrying out a comprehensive financial and performance audit of the entire federal government”, Trump announced at a September campaign event in New York. There he announced that the founder of SpaceX had agreed to lead the commission.
Mike Pompeo the former CIA director who is a candidate for secretary of defense
Mike Pompeo appears as one of Trump’s options for Secretary of Defense. Pompeo was already part of the Trump administration, where he served as an advisor to Foreign Affairs and he was also director of the CIA,
In the previous Trump Administration, Pompeo promoted a strong support for Israel and is also a defender of Ukraine. He co-authored a proposed “peace plan” for the country published in the Wall Street Journal in July, where he proposed “real sanctions on Russia” and the delivery of crucial weapons.
Elon Musk celebrated Donald Trump’s victory
Businessman Elon Musk celebrated Donald Trump’s election victory through a message on his personal X account. “Tonight, the people of the United States gave Donald Trump a crystal clear mandate for change,” he stated.
The magnate demonstrated his support for the Republican throughout the campaign and was present at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago mansion where they waited together for the results. “America is a nation of builders. Soon you will be free to build,” Musk said.
