Became known the details of the detention of the deputy head of Voskresensk

The deputy head of the administration of Voskresensk near Moscow, Alexander Savkin, who was detained on suspicion of taking a bribe, took funds from contractors for repairing roads in the district. According to Izvestia, the official asked to transfer his “fee” to his bank card, thanks to which it was possible to establish the fact of corruption.

The detention of the official at the workplace became known on January 21.

On the same day, the investigative department of the Russian Investigative Committee for Voskresensk opened a criminal case against Savkin on the grounds of a crime under paragraph “c” of Part 5 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (receiving a bribe on a large scale).

In March 2021, Savkin received a bribe in the amount of 160 thousand rubles from a businessman through an intermediary, they added to the UK in the city.

In exchange, the suspect promised the businessman that he would receive a contract to repair the asphalt pavement of yard areas and intra-quarter driveways in Voskresensk.

The circumstances of the incident are established. Interrogations are underway, face-to-face confrontations are planned.

According to Izvestia, a search was conducted in Savkin’s office.

In the administration of Voskresensk, Savkin oversaw the issues of improvement and road facilities.

Earlier, on January 19, Deputy Minister of Transport of Russia Vladimir Tokarev was detained in connection with the events five years ago. We are talking about embezzlement at the Spetstransstroy company, where Tokarev worked as first deputy general director several years ago.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs said that the deputy minister was placed in a temporary detention facility. He has been charged with fraud. In the near future, the Khoroshevsky District Court of Moscow will consider the investigator’s petition to elect Tokarev a measure of restraint in the form of detention.
