As lawyer Natalya Dobronravova specified, the unknown persons were wearing masks. According to her, they showed the decision to bring Musaeva as a witness in a fraud case being investigated by the Chechen Ministry of Internal Affairs, but did not provide any certificates.

“They began to drag her out of the apartment by force, the woman lost consciousness, and she was dragged down the stairs,” Dobronravova said.

She drew attention to the fact that the wife of the ex-judge was taken from home in slippers and home clothes, the woman did not have time to take medication for diabetes, which she suffers from. The lawyer explained that after the resignation, Musaeva’s husband lives with his wife in Nizhny Novgorod.

Musayeva’s whereabouts are unknown. According to the lawyer, most likely, she is being taken to Grozny for interrogation.

At the same time, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov called the information about the kidnapping a “fantastic story.” He stressed that he had seen media reports, but did not know how reliable they were.

“Absolutely fantastic story. . We prefer not to believe such reports without confirmation, we are living in an untruthful time, ”Peskov said.

He also added that security officials – both Chechen and from other regions of Russia – need to work in strict accordance with job descriptions. This, as the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation noted, “is not some kind of sovereign subdivision.”

Earlier, on January 12, the wife of the deputy of the Volokolamsk urban district, Yuri Babich, reported that her husband had been kidnapped by unknown people. On the same day, Ekaterina Babich said that her husband was taken as a witness in the case of Artem Lyubimov to the Ramenskoye branch of the ICR. The man was later released.
