One of the participants in the mass accident on the Kiev highway, in which seven cars were damaged, spoke on January 22 about the incident.
“I was driving at about 90–100 km/h. I thought the road was normal, you can safely move at this speed. It turns out that there was a small accident ahead, the cars began to stop. No brakes helped: either you crash into the people in front, or you fly into the bump stop, ”he said.
The driver also clarified that the first to arrive at the scene of the accident were employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
It is noted that traffic on one lane of the Kiev highway towards Moscow has been restored.
We are talking about an accident that occurred earlier that day on the 54th km of the Kiev highway. Initially, it was reported that more than 20 cars collided.
Earlier, on January 21, a major accident also occurred on the Orenburg-Samara highway in the Orenburg region. As a result, one person died. The driver of a Mercedes Benz heavy truck drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a Hyundai car there. The driver of the car died at the scene.
