People’s Artist of the RSFSR Leonid Kuravlev was transferred from intensive care to a hospice with a diagnosis of mixed dementia.
According to Izvestia, the condition of the 85-year-old actor is assessed as moderate. He was diagnosed with cerebrovascular disease.
The artist was admitted to the hospital on January 5 with suspected coronavirus. According to Izvestia, tests for COVID-19, which he passed on January 6 and 9, showed a negative result. At the same time, Kuravlev’s temperature was elevated, and the saturation was at the level of 89.6%.
Later, doctors performed an emergency stomach operation on Kuravlev – a gastrostomy.
On January 17, the artist was diagnosed with an extensive lesion of lung tissue. Within a week, the affected area quadrupled. However, the actor is breathing without the help of a ventilator.
On January 21, the son of the artist Vasily Kuravlev said that there was a positive trend in the actor’s condition.
In October, the star of the films “Ivan Vasilyevich Changes His Profession” and “Afonya” turned 85 years old. Relatives of the actor reported that after the death of his wife Nina in 2002, the actor leads a reclusive lifestyle.
