Two people died in a fire in a heat collector in the Primorsky Territory. This was announced on Sunday, January 23, by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the region.
According to the press service, the fire occurred on Vokzalnaya dam street in the city of Ussuriysk on January 23 at 01:45 (18:45 on January 22 Moscow time). The fire and rescue service received a message about the ignition of debris in the heat collector. Firefighters arrived at the scene five minutes later.
During the elimination of the fire, the bodies of two people were found, their identities are being established. According to preliminary data, people died from carbon monoxide poisoning.
It is clarified that as a result of the fire, part of the collector was damaged on a total area of 15 square meters. m. In total, two units of fire equipment and 10 personnel were involved in the extinguishing.
Investigators of the Investigative Committee (IC) appointed a pre-investigation check. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
