In the Ryazan region, a commuter train rammed a car at a crossing. The accident happened on the afternoon of January 23 on the Miloslavskoye-Grotovsky stretch. Three people in the car were killed, emergency services said.
According to the regional traffic police department, the Chevrolet Niva car drove into a regulated railway crossing at a prohibiting traffic light. The car collided with the fourth car of the train. As a result, the driver and two of his passengers died.
“There was no derailment of the railway cars, the delay in the movement of the train was 2 hours and 40 minutes,” the department added.
The accident is under investigation.
A day earlier, another major accident occurred in Ryazan. Two cars Chevrolet and Hyundai collided on the Ryazhskoe highway. As a result of the accident, two people died on the spot, four more, including two children, received injuries of varying severity.
