The first volume received near-universal acclaim from critics and enjoys a score of 98 percent on Rotten Tomatoes and 81 percent on Metacritic.

The second volume of Visions was released on Disney+ in May 2023with episodes featuring the work of a more international group of studios, including Aardman (UK), El Guiri (Spain), Cartoon Saloon (Ireland), Punkrobot (Chile), Studio Mir (South Korea), Studio La Cachette (France), 88 Pictures (India), D’art Shtajio (Japan) along with Lucasfilm (USA) and Triggerfish (South Africa/Ireland). The second volume was also a huge hit with critics, with a perfect score of 100 percent on Rotten Tomatoes and 88 percent on Metacritic.
