However, a situation arose that drew attention this Saturday on the networks. From his personal account, Hernán Regiardo said that they do not allow him to put the “Gluten-Free” seal required by law to indicate that the product is suitable for consumption by people with celiac disease.
“I can’t put ‘Gluten Free’ on the Cósmico package even though we pay $400 a year for this paper that certifies that the herb does not contain gluten,” he says in the video that Regiardo shared from his networks yesterday.
In the publication, the influencer complained: “They don’t leave me the ‘Gluten-Free’ logo in green and cream like the rest of the package. If I want to put it on, the logo has to be on the front and side, and in white and black or red” he explained, according to current regulations. “It’s a shame to ruin the front of the package” concluded Regiardo.

Food labeling: what the law says
Recently, the regulations on Gluten Free Foods (ALG) and, among its changes, the new logo that identifies them on food packaging was defined.
The measure is due to the fact that now a food can be made with ingredients that do not contain gluten or that, if they do contain it, must be processed to remove it. For example: beer can be made from barley, but using enzymes that allow the gluten of said cereal to be degraded.
Therefore, during this time, you will be able to find on the shelves of ALG stores that present any of the following symbols:

The new regulations require that, in both cases, the food meets the same gluten limit (10 mg of gluten per kg of food).
The regulations set a period of 3 years (until 12/02/2026) for companies to adapt their signs with the new “GLUTEN-FREE” logo.
