What are PAMI’s drug discounts like?
- For chronic diseasessuch as diabetes or hypertension, coverage will be between 50% and 80%.
- For acute illnessessuch as infections or colds, coverage will be between 50% and 60%.
- For occasional use medicationssuch as analgesics or anti-inflammatories, coverage will be 40%.
In addition, its services include the choice of primary doctor, health transfers, preventive activities and cultural workshops. It is important that beneficiaries know that in order to access the social subsidy for medicines they have to meet certain requirements:
- The applicant’s net income must be less than 1.5 minimum pension benefits.
- The applicant’s vehicle cannot be less than 15 years old
- They cannot own more than one property, nor luxury aircraft or boats.
- If a person with a Single Certificate of Disability (CUD) resides in the home, the total income can be up to three minimum pension benefits.
