The National Government authorized the company Paranair the operation of a new international air route that will connect Asunción del Paraguay with the province of Córdoba.
The Ministry of Transportation of the Ministry of Economy of the Nation authorized the Paraguayan flag company to operate this route with regular air transport services for passengers and cargo, thus adding another international route that directly links an Argentine province with the world, without having have to go through Buenos Aires.
The measure published this Wednesday in the Official Gazette is part of the Open Skies policypromoted by the National Government and is possible after the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the Republic of Paraguay, on July 31 of this year, which aimed to generate greater competitiveness in the sector with the entry of new airline companies to the country .
In this way, progress continues in the opening of the airline sector, favoring the entry of new companies, with a greater offer of flights and competitiveness, for an increasingly free market for the benefit of companies and passengers, indicated from the Ministry of Transportation.

In the same way, the authorization for the company Batbaik Sociedad Anónima to operate non-scheduled internal and international air transport services for passengers and cargo was also published in the Official Gazette. The measure was made official through the publication of provision 13/2024, of the Undersecretariat of Air Transport.
In accordance with the regulations, the company meets the requirements to provide non-scheduled services, as well as has complied with the requirements of the Aeronautical Code and its regulatory standards.
This measure comes after the Government has simplified the process for the authorization of small aircraft, through the publication of provision 12/2024.

It is a system that allows airlines to simultaneously manage the commercial aviation authorization and the Air Services Operator Certificate (CESA), unifying both procedures on a single platform.
This new scheme, as reported by the Secretariat, seeks to streamline bureaucratic processes, which previously could last up to 120 days, transforming them into a more efficient procedure.
The Batbaik company has its operational base at the San Fernando international airport and plans to start regular passenger flights with locations that large companies do not reach.
