Young Argentineans participated in a professional exchange program in the US

The experience includes a week-long immersion in Houston, Texas, and visits to important companies such as Amazon.

Recently the trip was made to USA of the first delegation of an exchange program for young Argentine professionals, launched by the companies Pan American Energy, CGC, Tenaris, Techint Engineering & Construction, Honeywell Argentina and Tecpetrol. It includes a week-long immersion in the city of Houston, Texas.

This delegation visited Amazon, bp, Honeywell, Tenaris and Rice Universitywhere participants will also collaborate in a project whose objective is to analyze the evolution of companies in the coming years, with special emphasis on digital transformation and leadership.

Likewise, during their stay in Houston, the professionals participated in a series of activities whose objectives were: to enrich their global perspective in a diverse environment; enhance your leadership skills by learning in a variety of contexts; understand the evolution of industries and how they adapt according to new technologies and business models.

In addition, the experience included the participation of young people in talks with industry leaders and a tour of the companies’ operations to learn first-hand about the best practices and then be able to apply them in Argentina.

The selected participants are graduates of Engineering degrees from the following institutions: Technological Institute of Buenos Aires, University of Buenos Aires, National University of Comahue, National University of Cuyo and National Technological University.

This is the beginning of a path towards a more collaborative, inclusive future with a positive impact on both young people and the companies of which they are part.”

The exchange is the second phase of the International Internship Programwhich is held annually and involves students from prestigious universities in the United States who travel to Argentina to have a professional experience in the companies that promote the program. Since the beginning of this initiative in 2015, more than 2,000 applications and 100 international interns they already participated of this program.

Both programs aim to promote the reciprocal cultural and professional exchange of knowledge and experiences, as well as continue positioning Argentine industrial and talent potential.
