After an investment of US0 million, Mercedes-Benz Trucks and Buses inaugurated its new logistics center in Zárate

The local subsidiary of Daimler Truck will concentrate its auto parts and spare parts in its brand new property in the north of Buenos Aires, where the construction of its future industrial hub is also progressing.

Coinciding with its third year as an independent company in Argentina, Mercedes-Benz Trucks and Buses inaugurated in the Buenos Aires town of Zárate a new Auto Parts and Spare Parts Logistics Center, which is part of the investment of US$110 million to transform the operation of the heavy brand in Argentina; transformation that will continue with the construction of the Industrial Center which is already in the assembly process on that same property.

Regarding the Industrial Center, it will begin operations in 2026 with the objective of continuing the production of the Accelo and Atego trucks and the chassis of OH and OF buses that are currently manufactured in the current Virrey del Pino propertyalso in the province of Buenos Aires. The same will happen with the line REMAN dedicated to the remanufacturing of parts, based on the principles of circular economy and efficiency.

Regarding the inauguration of the Logistics Center, it has an area of ​​10,300 m2 and was built under the Daimler Truck international standardsprioritizing energy efficiency and reducing environmental impact. These facilities are equipped with lithium battery technology that powers operating equipment, providing a substantial improvement in energy efficiency.

Digitization, for its part, is present in the operational process and allows a significant reduction in the use of paper. A chapter in itself offers everything related to the packaging of the parts: the boxes, pallets and containers are reused, aligned with the objective of recycling and reuse in production processes, a fundamental pillar of the company’s environmental policy.
