In the event that Kueider ends up resigning or being dismissed, the ruling party will not only lose a key ally but also the Unión por la Patria bloc will add a new member. Kueider’s replacement is Stefania Cora, member of La Cámpora de Entre Ríos and fervent opponent of La Libertad Avanza.

If Cora joins the UP bloc chaired by José Mayans, then pan-Peronism would achieve its 34th seat. Together with other opponents such as Martin Lousteauthe opposition would be on the verge of its own quorum in the Senate with the power to block any legislative initiative sent by the Casa Rosada, from filling vacancies in the Supreme Court, the position of Attorney General, the Budget or any other initiative of the Power National Executive.
