Proceedings initiated after the death of six citizens of Tajikistan near Volgograd

The investigative department of the ICR for the Volgograd region initiated a criminal case after the discovery of six bodies of citizens of Tajikistan near Volgograd. This was announced on Wednesday, January 26, in the press service of the department.

“On this fact, the Sredneakhtubinsky Interdistrict Investigation Department of the TFR in the region immediately initiated a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Art. 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Causing death by negligence to two or more persons”),” the report says.

According to the investigation, seven natives of the near abroad arrived in the Volgograd region to carry out work on crop production. On January 26, one of the men went to the greenhouse, where he found the bodies of six of his acquaintances, after which he called an ambulance.

The man who discovered the bodies has now been taken to a medical facility.

It was found that a gas generator was located in the greenhouse, the combustion products of which, due to the lack of a free exit, entered the greenhouse. According to Gazeta.Ru, death was the result of exhaust gas poisoning.

“Currently, investigators are carrying out the whole range of urgent investigative actions aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident,” the press service of the department noted.

In the Volgograd region, six citizens of Tajikistan were found dead earlier in the day. It was noted that death occurred as a result of exhaust gas poisoning. An investigative team is working at the scene. According to Gazeta.Ru, the incident occurred near the village of Rakhinka.
