British singer Elton John fell ill with COVID-19, which forced him to reschedule several concerts in the United States. The 74-year-old performer announced this in stories on his Instagram page on January 25.
“I contracted covid, and therefore have to reschedule my dates in Dallas,” the singer said.
The artist noted that the transfer of the show always brings great disappointment, and also apologized to those who were inconvenienced. John emphasized that the safety of him and his team is a priority, the 360 TV channel notes.
Elton John said that he completed the full course of vaccination, made a booster vaccination, and thanks to this, the disease proceeds in a mild form, writes NSN.
“I have mild symptoms, so I expect to be able to perform in Arkansas this coming weekend,” REGNUM quoted the singer as saying.
Elton John in 2018 began his last world concert tour, named after one of his most famous compositions Farewell Yellow Brick Road (“Farewell, paved with yellow brick road”). It was planned that the performer would give about 300 concerts and complete the tour with four performances at the O2 Arena in London in December 2020, Moscow 24 notes.
First, the musician’s illness interfered with the plans, and then the COVID-19 pandemic. Because of John’s last performance, he was repeatedly postponed.
