“Due to adverse weather conditions at the Istanbul International Airport, more than a thousand flights were delayed and cancelled. The prosecutor’s office organized an inspection in terms of the provision of services by air carriers to passengers of flights including soft drinks, hot meals and hotel accommodations.
According to the association of tour operators on January 26, flights from the main airport of Istanbul are currently operated in a limited mode. Many flights to Russia are still listed as postponed. According to the organization, tourists will still have to wait for departure.
“At 11 am on Wednesday, January 26, Istanbul Airport resumed operation. On the airport’s website on the morning of January 26, it was indicated that air traffic had resumed with flights to Caracas and Houston. Despite the resumption of flights, the airport is not yet operating at full capacity. According to the ATOR Bulletin, traffic in Istanbul has been reopened.
