About 90 miners were evacuated from the Anzherskaya-Yuzhnaya mine in the Kemerovo region due to a ventilation malfunction. On Wednesday, January 26, TASS reported, citing a source.

It is noted that at the end of December 2021, the court suspended coal mining at the Anzherskaya-Yuzhnaya mine for 90 days on the basis of a protocol on violations of industrial safety norms and rules.

On January 18, it was reported that the regulators intended to discuss the issue of early revocation of the license for subsoil use at the Listvyazhnaya mine in the Kemerovo region. As noted in Rosnedra, during the inspections, cases of non-compliance with the norms of coal production at the mine were revealed.

On January 3, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to amend the Code of Administrative Offenses (CAO) to provide for the suspension of mines for failure to comply with the requirements for degassing during coal mining. He instructed to exclude payments dependent on output from the conditionally permanent part of the miners’ salary until February 1.

The accident at the Listvyazhnaya mine occurred on November 25. As a result, 51 people died, including five rescuers. Another 58 people were hospitalized. In total, there were 285 people in the mine.

A criminal case was also initiated on the fact of negligence of employees of the department of Rostekhnadzor.

On December 20, Izvestia wrote that former State Duma deputy Vladimir Gridin, who, according to investigators, may be the largest owner of the Listvyazhnaya mine, probably fled Russia to Monaco.
