Izvestia found out how the local authorities are preparing to repulse Omikron.
It is noted that this measure was taken in Karelia, the Kaliningrad and Arkhangelsk regions, North Ossetia, the Republic of Mari El and St. Petersburg. In total, the Omicron strain has already been recorded in 72 regions of the country.
Thinking about limiting the provision of planned medical care in other regions. So, depending on the current situation, it may be suspended in hospitals in the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Samara Region, Izvestia was told in the press services of the regional governments.
In other regions, they do not plan to refuse to provide planned assistance and are taking a number of steps to do this. Additional polyclinics for patients with symptoms of coronavirus infection will open in Chelyabinsk and Magnitogorsk. Preventive examinations and clinical examinations for adults and children will be temporarily suspended in the Leningrad Region to redistribute the burden on clinic doctors. A similar decision has already been made in the Murmansk region.
In Moscow, the planned hospitalization of children has been suspended due to fears that in hospitals they have a greater risk of catching coronavirus. At the same time, emergency medical care will be provided in full. Also, the hospitalization of small patients with oncological and hematological diseases for antitumor treatment will not stop.
The Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation asks everyone who suffers from the disease asymptomatically and in a mild form to stay at home. At the same time, according to virologists, the number of infections and hospitalizations will continue to grow, since the peak of the fifth wave of the pandemic is still far away.
