What is the process for exchanging tickets?

All those who possess mutilated banknotes must send them by mail to the BEP, or appear in person. There they will be evaluated by experts who will determine if they qualify for exchange or are so deteriorated that they are no longer useful.

If at least 50% of the ticket can be identified as real, with its security marks, the exchange will proceed. Otherwise, if the mutilation was caused by natural factors and the owner of the specimen can prove it, the BEP will act based on the evidence presented.
