- 1931: Birth of Sara Gallardo, Argentine writer. Among his most notable works are “Los galgos, los galgos” and “Eisejuaz”.
- 1950: Birth of Liliana Pécora, Argentine actress.
- 1951: Enrique Santos Discépolo dies. Composer, poet, actor, screenwriter, director and author of emblematic tangos such as “Yira, yira”, “Cambalache”, “Uno” and “Cafetín de Buenos Aires”.
- 1972: Rescue of the 16 survivors of the Tragedy of the Andesafter 73 days of the accident. It is considered one of the most important survival stories of all time.
