Keanu Reeves spoke about whether the franchise John Wick will move forward with a fifth film.
Speaking to CBS News to promote his new animated film Sonic 3, Reeves was asked about the possibility of the John Wick franchise moving forward with a fifth film. Reeves said earlier this month: “You can never say never. My knees right now are saying ‘I can’t do another John Wick’. “That’s how my heart does it, but I don’t know if my knees can do it.”
However, Reeves will return as John Wick in the upcoming spin-off film starring Ana de ArmasBallerina.
Ballerina, the John Wick spin-off
Ballerina is the first spin-off feature film set in the John Wick universe, following the spin-off series The Continental. The upcoming film stars Ana de Armas as Eve Macarro, a dancer who is trained to be an assassin in hopes of avenging the death of her family.
The film is set after the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellumwith Macarro seeking revenge against the people who killed his family. We will see the return of Keanu Reeves’ John Wick, as confirmed by its trailer, although the extent of his role in the film remains unknown.
Ballerina is the fifth John Wick film and the first since 2023’s John Wick: Chapter 4.
