According to the latest study by the Argentine Budget Association (ASAP), San Isidro It is one of the Buenos Aires municipalities with the most transparent administration due to its high standards in the rendering of its accounts. It was valued for its visibility and availability of budget and execution on its official website.
“A year ago we had only 5/100, and today we reached the ideal score with 100/100 points in the transparency ranking. Managing with transparency is taking care of the neighbors’ money with the same logic with which we take care of the mango at home. Result: better services, lower costs and more investment,” highlighted the local mayor, Ramon Lanús.
The ASAP carries out a study every six months that evaluates the tax and budget information published on the official pages of the 135 municipalities of the province of Buenos Aires, analyzing the visibility and availability of budgets and their execution.
Among the topics on which the survey was based are: easy access to its public accounts on official pages, the budget, the economic-financial situation, the quarterly budget execution (resources and expenses), expenses by purpose and function, and the municipal public debt.
The study showed that 49 municipalities reached the ideal score, representing 36.3% of the total districts evaluated. San Isidro went from the bottom of the table to lead the study together with the municipalities of Adolfo Alsina, Adolfo González Chávez, Alberti, Ayacucho, Azul, Balcarce, Benito Juárez, Berisso, Bolívar, Bragado, Carlos Tejedor, Carmen de Areco, Chascomús, Chivilcoy, Colonel Dorrego, Colonel Pringles, Colonel Suárez, Florentino Ameghino, General Alvarado, General Belgrano, General Madariaga, General San Martín, General Viamonte, Junín, La Matanza, La Plata, Lanús, Lincoln, Lobería, Lobos, Magdalena, Mercedes, Moreno, Necochea, Nueve de Julio, Pinamar, Rauch, Rivadavia, Saavedra , Saladillo, Salto, San Andrés de Giles, San Cayetano, San Isidro, San Pedro, Tandil, Trenque Lauquen, Tres Arroyos and Tres de Febrero.
