The government of Javier Milei ordered that a group of pregnant people must be done in person before the ANSES the process to obtain the pregnancy allowance. The regulations were signed by the head of the organization, Mariano de los Heros.
ANSES ordered changes in the Sumar Program
According to the Resolution signed by the owner of the ANSESFrom now on, pregnant women who are part of the Sumar program must deliver, in person before the offices of this national administration, the forms for registration or maintenance in the state program.
In detail, the measure reaches, first of all, those people who “is registered as a social monotributist or in the Special Employment Contract Regime for Personnel in Private Homes that is, a worker who, after termination of the employment relationshipretain the coverage of the Welfare Projects for a period of THREE (3) months and is not included in article 1 of Decree No. 592/16.”

The measure also provides, for a period of 180 days from the publication of the Resolution and in those cases in which ANSES does not have the information corresponding to pregnant women enrolled in the Sumar Program“pregnant persons must present, in person, before the offices of this Organization, the applications mentioned in article 2 of this resolution.”
Finally, it is also detailed that “to request the Pregnancy Allowance for Social Protection, the pregnant person, her spouse or cohabitant must have accredited, before this National Administration, the birth, death or termination of pregnancy of the Pregnancy Allowance for Social Protection that had been previously requested”.
