A man suspected of kidnapping, rape and murder of his wife was detained in Volokolamsk near Moscow. This was reported on January 29 by the press service of the investigative department of the Russian Investigative Committee for the Moscow Region.
As clarified in the department, the couple were in the process of divorce.
According to investigators, the crime was committed on January 27. The local resident waited until his wife left the place of work, and then followed her in a car.
When the cars caught up, he asked the woman to leave the passenger compartment. After that, the suspect dragged his wife into his car and brought him to the utility room.
“Fearing that the woman would turn to law enforcement agencies, the suspect strangled his wife. After the crime, he fled the scene,” the Investigative Committee reported.
The man will be charged soon. The investigation intends to petition for the conclusion of the suspect in custody.
On January 23, a criminal case was opened in Tatarstan against a man who is suspected of killing his wife and her sister. After committing the crime, the man took his own life. According to the Izvestia source, the couple signed on January 20. After the celebration, the man stabbed his young wife and her cousin to death. After that, the man went to the city center, where he raped a woman and disappeared.
