Putin instructed to develop guidelines to simplify the issuance of loans to NGOs

Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to develop and approve by the spring methodological recommendations for credit institutions to simplify the issuance of loans to socially oriented NGOs. This was reported on January 29 on the Kremlin website.

“Recommend that the Bank of Russia, with the participation of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, develop and approve methodological recommendations for credit institutions explaining the specifics of the activities of socially oriented non-profit organizations in order to simplify the provision of loans (loans) to such organizations, including under concessional lending programs,” the list of instructions says. .

The deadline is May 1st. The head of the Central Bank Elvira Nabiullina and the Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov were appointed responsible.

Last October, the Russian government announced new payments to small businesses and NGOs affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The project involves the allocation of a lump sum in the form of a grant. It will be available to small and medium-sized enterprises and NGOs from among the most affected sectors during this period.

In the same month, the Moscow government approved a program of concessional lending to large businesses. Companies from the industries most affected during the spread of coronavirus can take advantage of it.

Under the program, companies will be subsidized at 4% of the annual loan rate. For entrepreneurs, its size will not exceed 6% per annum. The subsidizing period is 12 months, and the maximum loan amount is up to 500 million rubles.
