River’s transfer market ahead of the Club World Cup: who is leaving?

River Plate could reduce the roster of its professional team to prepare for future arrivals of elite soccer players, facing a super demanding 2025 with the tournaments of the Professional Leaguethe Argentine Cup and especially the Club World Cup.

The “Millonario” will look for a quick exit for the central marker Ramiro Funes Mori, the midfielder Matías Kranevitter and the central defender Leandro González Pírez.

Funes Mori was consulted by two teams that are part of the first division of Argentine soccer: Platense and Belgrano de Córdoba.

Kranevitter has an offer from a team in the interior of the country: Belgrano de Córdoba. If the signing is completed, he could share a dressing room with “Twin” (he should also sign for the club), with whom he has had a relationship since 2015.

Finally, González Pírez obtained two formal offers from two teams that compete in the Professional Football League: Vélez Sarsfield and Estudiantes de la Plata. In the hypothetical case of signing for the “Pincharrata”, the “Kaiser” will be reunited with the shirt (white and red) of the last Argentine club before leaving for the North American leagues, Major League Soccer (Atlanta United and Inter Miami ) and Liga MX (Club Tijuana).

The three players are in transfer status. The measure was taken due to low returns, the possibility of occupying that space with senior footballers and the closing of a sale that will provide the institution with significant capital to launch into the transfer market.

On the other hand, the Núñez Band could part with two pieces of the team (Ramiro Funes Mori and Matías Kranevitter) who were part of obtaining a very important title, the Copa Libertadores de América.

Furthermore, during the last season, Leandro González Pírez held the starting position in most of the games.
