Attention retirees! These PAMI medications will no longer be free in 2025

Find out the complete list and what you can do to maintain complete coverage of social work.

With the modifications in the medication program for retirees and pensioners, the Comprehensive Medical Assistance Program (PAMI) published the list of those that will no longer be fully covered. There are a total of 44 and, according to the social work announcement, they are those who are not considered essential for the treatment of serious and chronic diseases.

These medications belong to the groups of antibiotics and antivirals, analgesics and anti-inflammatory drugs, and those for the treatment of various conditions. However, members have the possibility of requesting the complete coverage of your medicationsbut it is only aimed at special cases.

How to get 100% PAMI coverage

For those members who are not able to afford their medications, PAMI offers a Social Subsidy, which covers them completely. To access it, PAMI published How to apply with step by step:

  1. Enter the official PAMI website and go to the Web Procedures section.
  2. In the medications tab, select the option “Medicines Free of Charge for Social Subsidy”.
  3. Read the information and press “Start this web procedure” at the end of the page.
  4. Select “Request the service” in the reason section.
  5. Complete the required data: affiliation number, DNI and processing number of the last DNI.
  6. Complete the contact form and continue.
  7. Confirm compliance with requirements and move forward.
  8. Answer a brief questionnaire.
  9. Upload the paper recipeif you have it; If not, this step is optional.
  10. Optionally, detail the medications requested in the comments field.
