The custom lists are a new messaging app tool that allows users to group contacts and chats under different categories. They are located at the top of the main screen, thus facilitating access to the most important conversations. As a user you can create, for example, a “Work” list to manage your work messages during office hours.
When you select a list, the application automatically filters conversationsshowing only those that belong to the group we chose. In addition, it currently includes three default filters: “Unread”, “Favorites” and “Groups”, and there is the “All” option, which shows all conversations without distinction.
And to this novelty, in recent weeks, a key improvement was added: it is no longer necessary to access each list to know how many messages are pending reading. In the main interface of the application the amount of unread messages in each list createdoptimizing the time of use.
The main advantage of personalized lists is the possibility of managing our chats more organized and efficient. Being able to give priority to messages from certain contacts or groups according to our needs by facilitating quick access to specific conversations.
How to create a custom list on WhatsApp
Creating a custom list on WhatsApp is very simple and there are two methods to do it. For the first option, press the “+” button located next to the chat filters at the top of the screen, I chose the name from the list and select the contacts or groups that will be included in it.
For the second alternative, access the menu “Settings” and select the “Lists” option. Once inside, WhatsApp shows a welcome message explaining the advantages of this tool. Press “Create a new list”, give it a name and add to contacts or groups you prefer. The created list will immediately appear at the top of chats.
