The residents of the town of Arana, city of La Plataare shocked by a case that seems straight out of a movie. A man reported that two workers who were placing posts in the gated community located on streets 635 and 131 stole a jar of gold from him which he had buried in the garden of his house in order to protect it.

According to local media El Día, the man admitted that he realized that something strange was happening because, once the work was done, the workers returned to his house to move the pole “because there was not going to be a signal.”
After that visit he discovered that the gold he had planned to use to buy an apartment for his son had been looted.
“None of my family or anyone else knew of the existence of that gold, much less that I had hidden it there,” declared the victim, who said that he called the workers to demand the gold, but they denied the fact and did not answer him further.
