The Argentine national team of handball, The Gladiatorsfell this Wednesday by 39 to 25 against Egyptby group H, in the debut in the World which is disputed in Croatia, Norway and Denmark.
The figure of the match was the Egyptian Ali Zein with five goals, while for Argentina the best player was Lucas Moscariello with seven goals.
The Argentine team showed a good defensive approach during several passages of the match, played in Zagreb, managing to neutralize the positional attack of the African team. The defense, organized and solid, closed spaces and made Egypt uncomfortable in its first offensives.
Even so, eight minutes into the game, Pedro Martínez Cami was the first to see the red card for the Gladiators.
Shortly after, it was Ramiro Banacedo who was sent off, so Argentina was left without its two left wingers.
Added to this were problems in attack, inaccuracies, turnovers and lack of fluidity in transitions. In this way, the team went to halftime trailing 21-11 on the scoreboard.
In the second half, it was Nicolás Bono who began to take the team forward after scoring 4 goals, but the comeback was not enough.
Argentina will have to recover quickly, since next Friday they will face Croatia, a high-level rival, from 4:30 p.m. (Argentina time).
The objective will be to correct mistakes and look for a victory that keeps the excitement alive in the tournament.
