The husband of “Miss Kuzbass – 2010” Ksenia Sapozhkova Alexander Popov admitted that he killed the girl and threw her body into the river. On Monday, January 31, the Telegram channel “112” reports.
On January 11, a 36-year-old man reported the disappearance of his wife to the police. He said that the woman flew to Dubai and stopped communicating. Later, the man confessed that he killed his wife, dismembered the body, tied it with stones and threw it into the Desna River. However, the divers who worked on the spot did not find Sapozhkova’s body.
Later, Popov began to deny guilt and refused to testify against himself.
According to investigators, Sapozhkova has not crossed the border since the day she went missing. Posts on Instagram on her behalf were published by her husband, in addition, he answered messages from friends and relatives from her page. The man also took their common daughter with Sapozhkova to Novokuznetsk to visit his wife’s relatives.
The court arrested Popov for two months. Motives for the crime are being investigated.
On January 23, in Tatarstan, a man killed his wife and her sister, after which he committed suicide.
According to the Izvestia source, the couple signed on January 20. The event was celebrated in a narrow circle of relatives and friends, after which the man saw off the guests and returned home, where he stabbed his young wife and her cousin. A criminal case has been initiated under Part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Murder of two or more persons”.
