The PRO supports the Clean File project without any qualms and from the UCR they ask to lower withholdings

This issue is of main interest to the ruling party and in this sense the legislators, in line with principle, are in favor of supporting the issue of the PASO, although they are more inclined towards suspension than repeal. Meanwhile, where there is consensus is in the Clean Record, the bill of reiteration and the trial by absence.

During the meeting, the radical deputy Rodrigo de LoredoI raised the need for the Government to consider lowering withholdings in a couple of points “taking into account the situation faced by the countryside” due to the drop in commodity prices. The chief of staff responded that “President Milei always has it in mind but it will depend on tax collection.”

Regarding the project of budget, The legislators regretted that it was not included in the extraordinary ones but it will not be an obstacle to the treatment of the other initiatives.

After 3:30 p.m., the meeting called by Chief of Staff Guillermo Francos began, with the purpose of maintaining negotiations to achieve approval of the topics incorporated into the extraordinary sessions. This Tuesday, the authorities of the Chamber of Deputies were summoned, Cristian Ritondo for the PRO and Rodrigo de Loredo for the UCR, Oscar Zago for the Integration and Development Movement. The meeting is led by Francos, accompanied by the vice chief José Rolandi; deputy Martin Menen, inter alia.

Ritondo, upon entering, stated that the project Clean Sheet will have the support of the PRO: “Absolutely, without any qualms,” and added that the deputy Silvia Lospennato He informed them that the project is good and that he even added issues that he considers positive, such as the fact that Clean File covers not only legislative positions, but also positions in the Executive Branch.

Regarding eliminating or suspending the PASO, he indicated that they are “studying to have a uniform position”He also clarified that the project also contemplates the issue of financing political parties.

Beyond the technical analysis that the PRO may carry out on this initiative, Ritondo was emphatic in clarifying: “We have the intention, as we have done throughout 2024, to help the government so that the laws pass, so that there is no deficit.”

Regarding the fact that the budget project has not been included, the legislator pointed out that “it would be important and I wish it could have been addressed.”

This is the first meeting that the Executive will hold with legislators with the intention of reaching Parliament with the greatest possible consensus.

The Congress reopens its doors in February until Friday the 21st, in a call that was made official on January 13 with the publication of Decree 23/2025 in the Official Gazette

The porting that takes place in the offices of Balcarce 50 assumes that the PRO, the UCR and the Civic Coalition will give their votes to the Clean File project, despite the discomfort that still exists in Deputies for not having included the Budget on the agenda.

Meanwhile, there are initiatives of great interest to the government, such as the proposals by Ariel Lijo and Manual García Mansillas to integrate the Supreme Court and the draft “anti-mafia law”, for which until now it is unknown how the negotiations will be approached.
