Most canceled flights to Sheremetyevo – 17, one more is postponed.
There are no data on changes in the schedule in Zhukovsky.
What caused the massive delays and cancellation of flights in the capital is not specified. Most often this happens due to technical problems and weather conditions. If the flight is delayed for more than four hours, passengers are entitled to hot meals, then it is provided every six hours of delay during the day and every eight hours at night.
Prior to this, on January 26, 54 flights were canceled or delayed at Moscow airports. Thus, 14 flights were delayed in Vnukovo, six were cancelled. In Sheremetyevo, 10 planes will not arrive on time, 19 have been canceled altogether. Five flights were delayed in Domodedovo.
It was noted that the reason for the delay or cancellation of flights could be heavy snowfall.
On January 31, Tatyana Pozdnyakova, the chief specialist of the Moscow weather bureau, told Izvestia about the Nadya cyclone operating in Moscow. So, according to her, the pressure in it is quite low, heavy rainfall is still expected.
A day earlier, Yevgeny Tishkovets, a leading employee of the Phobos weather center, warned that Cyclone Nadya would bring 25% of the monthly rainfall to Moscow in the next two days.
