The Ministry of Internal Affairs published a video from the scene of an accident in Kaliningrad, where a truck driver knocked a woman to death at a pedestrian crossing and dragged a stroller with her child for several meters.
The footage shows that the truck managed to drive far enough away from the scene.
The accident occurred earlier on Thursday on Moskovsky Prospekt from the side of Litovsky Val Street in the direction of April 9 Street in Kaliningrad. A truck at high speed ran over a woman with a stroller, who was crossing the carriageway at a traffic light. As a result, the woman died from her injuries. Her baby, who was in a wheelchair, survived.
As noted in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Kaliningrad region, the girl managed to push the stroller out of the way, which saved the baby’s life. Eyewitnesses of the incident, in turn, reported that the driver tried to escape from the scene of the accident, pretending not to notice the woman under the wheels.
The violator was able to stop other drivers who began to honk.
The police are investigating the incident.
