Ex-Microsoft employee Alexei Kibkalo, who previously served a sentence in an American prison for stealing data about the Windows 8 operating system, found five bags with a certain substance. Kibkalo was detained in Moscow, according to the Izvestia source.
Law enforcement officers suspect that the powder in the bags is a drug. If the suspicion is confirmed, Kibkalo may again face imprisonment.
Kibkalo, according to the source, was appointed to a high post at Microsoft in 2005. The duties of the IT specialist included supporting the corporation’s products in the Middle East and Africa, as well as organizing trainings.
An American court found that in 2012, Kibkalo gave a French blogger secret data about Windows 8 in order to receive a reward. A US federal court sentenced Kibkalo in 2014 to three months in prison. The convict himself admitted that he stole Microsoft data.
Earlier, on January 14, officers of the State traffic inspectorate during the inspection found drugs from the actor of the Moscow Theater for Young Spectators Leonid Kondrashov.
According to the results of the examination, it was found that the package that the actor had with him contained a little less than 2 g of mephedrone. The 23-year-old man is currently under house arrest.
