Wanted Russian extradited from Germany for murder

In Germany, at the Frankfurt am Main airport, the National Central Bureau (NCB) of Interpol of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia were handed over to the Russian Artur Ozmanyan, who was wanted for the murder. This was announced on Friday, February 4, by the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Irina Volk.

According to investigators, in June 2012, Ozmanyan, along with his acquaintance, spent time in a nightclub in the town of Nerekhta, Kostroma Region, where they had a conflict with a company of three young people.

A fight broke out between them on the street, during which the defendant and his accomplice stabbed the victims, after which they fled. Three victims were taken to hospital, one of them died from his injuries.

In October 2013, the court sentenced Ozmanyan’s accomplice.

“He was found guilty of committing crimes under Part 1 of Article 111 and Part 1 of Article 112 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Ozmanyan himself, suspected of the murder, managed to escape from the investigation and leave the territory of Russia. He was detained nine years after the crime was committed in July 2021 in Germany. Today he will be delivered to Moscow, ”the MIA Media portal quotes Wolf as saying.

In September 2021, the competent authorities of Germany extradited to Russia the accused of complicity in the murder of Radik Gilmanov.

According to investigators, in 2000 Gilmanov, at the suggestion of his cousin, conspired with him to kill their relative in the city of Neftekamsk in order to seize her property. In February 2001, they committed the murder of a relative, coupled with robbery.
