In Astrakhan, a pack of stray dogs attacked a schoolgirl. Video of the attack was posted on social media.
Judging by the footage, the incident occurred on Thursday, February 3, in the courtyard of one of the residential buildings. A girl with a school backpack was calmly walking along the road when a flock of barking dogs ran into her, the Zvezda TV channel notes. She was frightened and began to run away, calling for help.
Judging by the video, she managed to fight off aggressive animals and run to her friends, who were also afraid of dogs. It is not known if the girl was injured.
As RIA Novosti was told in the city administration, specialists caught nine stray dogs on Zelenaya Street in Astrakhan after a video of an animal attack on a schoolgirl appeared on social networks. Work on catching stray animals will continue.
Cases of attacks by stray dogs on people have become more frequent throughout the country. The Russian Cynological Federation (RKF) proposed to solve the problem with the help of mandatory labeling of pets, the 360 TV channel notes. The problem with stray dogs, cynologists emphasized, appears where the maintenance and nutrition of pets are irresponsible.
Earlier that day, the governor of the Sverdlovsk region, Yevgeny Kuyvashev, demanded that all stray dogs in the region be caught within two weeks. According to him, the situation with stray dogs is not easy, in the last month alone there have been several dozen incidents with animals in the region. Kuyvashev added that in the north of the region, people are afraid to go out.
