A criminal case on the fact of the death of a two-year-old child was initiated in the city of Troitsk, Chelyabinsk Region. A partner of her mother is suspected of killing the girl. This was announced on February 5 by the press service of the Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee (SU IC) of the Russian Federation for the region.
According to investigators, on the night of February 4, in the apartment of one of the houses in Troitsk, a suspect tried to stab her during a conflict with a cohabitant, at that moment a two-year-old daughter was in the woman’s arms. The man stabbed a child with a knife, who died in a medical facility as a result of his injuries.
The suspect has been detained. The issue of choosing a measure of restraint and bringing charges against him is being decided.
“Currently, a complex of urgent investigative actions is being carried out in the criminal case. In order to comprehensively study the circumstances of the crime, all the necessary forensic examinations will be appointed,” the state agency added.
On January 19, it was reported that in the Krasnodar Territory a man was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of a woman and her one-year-old son.
The investigation and the court found that the offender wanted to cohabit with the sister of the deceased. On this basis, conflicts occurred between him and the victim. On September 15, 2020, during another quarrel, an attacker killed a woman and her young son, inflicting 35 and seven stab wounds on them, respectively.
After that, he hid the boy’s body in a barn and fled. The bodies of the dead on the same day were discovered by the woman’s sister, which she reported to the police. The perpetrator was arrested in hot pursuit. The man will serve his sentence in a special regime colony.
