Ex-deputy of the State Duma Shingarkin beaten in Moscow

In the center of Moscow, unknown persons beat up former State Duma deputy Maxim Shingarkin. This information was received by Izvestia on Saturday, February 5.

According to the source, a former member of the LDPR faction in the lower house of parliament was taken to hospital with injuries. In particular, he is suspected of having a broken nose.

The attack on Shingarkin took place near the politician’s office on Samotechnaya Street. The attackers pursued him, as a result, the politician appointed a meeting for them, at which he was supposed to receive a letter from them.

On Saturday afternoon, when the ex-deputy went out to talk with the intruders, they began to beat him. According to the victim, he had not seen his opponents before.

Shingarkin is a former member of the LDPR faction in the lower house of parliament and an ex-candidate for the post of governor of the Moscow region. Participated in the elections to the State Duma in 2021 on the lists of the Russian Party of Freedom and Justice.
