The father of a one-year-old child injured in the fall of ice from the roof of a high-rise building in Khimki spoke about what happened.
In an interview with the REN TV channel, the man noted that he and a small child received various injuries. According to the father, he himself received a concussion, and his child received a lacerated head wound.
Initially, it was reported that the child was injured as a result of the incident, but this information was denied by the press service of the government of the Moscow region.
“There is a conclusion that [у меня обнаружено] concussion and bruising of the tissues of the head. The child has a lacerated wound on his forehead. There was a lot of blood,” the man said.
The father also added that initially the child was diagnosed with a closed craniocerebral injury, but this conclusion will still be rechecked. So far, the baby is in the hospital.
According to him, the ice also damaged a car parked nearby. Its owner, added the interlocutor of REN TV, filed a claim for damages.
Earlier that day, Izvestia published a video showing a block of ice falling on a father and child in Khimki.
The incident happened on February 4th. Ice from the roof of a 25-storey building fell on a one-year-old child in a stroller and a man, as a result of which the boy was taken to the Lyubertsy hospital and examined. The prosecutor’s office of the Moscow region organized a check after the ice fell on the child. The investigative department for the city of Khimki of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Moscow Region also organized a pre-investigation check.
