The Russian and Belarusian crews of the Su-30SM conducted a joint patrol of the state border, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on Monday, February 7.
“The crews of the Su-30SM fighters of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, as part of the test of the reaction forces of the Union State, worked out joint patrolling of the state border of Belarus,” said flight commander Dmitry Bokan.
According to him, the planes flew at an altitude of about 8 thousand meters at a speed of about 750 km/h.
During the patrol, the fighters also performed maneuvers as part of a master-slave pair, the Defense Ministry said.
Earlier on Saturday, February 5, it was reported that the Su-25SM attack aircraft of the Eastern Military District flew to the military airfields of Belarus. It was noted that the crews flew from the airfield in the Primorsky Territory to the Brest Region.
On February 3, it became known that the division of the S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft missile system arrived at the training ground in the Brest region of Belarus.
The day before, the troops of the Eastern Military District and the armed forces of Belarus began combat coordination at the Belarusian training grounds as part of the first stage of testing the response forces of the Union State.
The first stage of testing the response forces of the Russian Federation and Belarus will last until February 9.
The second stage will take place from 10 to 20 February. The forces of Belarus and Russia will hold joint exercises “Allied Resolve – 2022”, within which they will work out tactics for suppressing and repelling external aggression, as well as countering terrorism.
On January 18, units from the Russian Armed Forces began to arrive in Belarus as part of an inspection of the reaction forces of the Union State.
