One for everyone
As is well known, the snakes in front of women’s toilets are always long, the waiting times as well. Whether in the tavern, on the ski hut or on the train: I always puzzle what women in the quiet town, at the door I wait for eternal things. Meditate, make calls, read emails?
From a necessity, I was looking for a solution – and found it in the use of the men’s toilets. Sometimes that is uncomfortable and you have to be careful. A much simpler solution are unisex toilets that have been available in public buildings in New York since 2017. In Iceland too, all toilets have been unisex-toilet since the previous year-a good solution for all genders and perhaps a patent recipe against the annoying waiting.

The nose says “No”
Unisex toilets-that sounds so tolerant. But the smell test tells me that I don’t want that. I prefer to be old -fashioned.
Men and women are anatomically different. Even accurate men peeing while standing inevitably leave their little urine samples on the ground. On the train where there are no alternatives due to space constraints, that’s uncomfortable enough.
In addition, toilets are not just pure needs. They should continue to remain a safe place in the future where women cannot be molested.
And even more: in Klos you go crumpled and come out. You need – please – no male spectators.
