Law enforcement officers have identified the owner of the dog that attacked the boy and his grandmother in the urban district of Podolsk. This was announced by the head of the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Moscow Region, Tatyana Petrova, on Thursday, February 10.
“The police have identified the owner of the dog, as well as her friend, who walked the animal that day. Currently, police officers are carrying out all necessary investigative actions, ”a representative of the department told the Moscow city news agency.
On this fact, a criminal case was initiated on the eve of the article on causing grievous bodily harm through negligence, NSN reports.
It has been previously established that the grandmother was taking her three-year-old grandson to kindergarten when a dog of a fighting breed attacked the child on Stroiteley Street and caused him bodily harm. Eyewitnesses drove the animal away and called an ambulance.
The boy was hospitalized, and there was no information about his current state of health.
Earlier, on April 26, 2021, in Voronezh, an 11-year-old child was attacked by a pack of stray dogs. The incident took place in New Bombay. Some dogs began to attack the child and also tried to bite him on the leg.
