In 2021, more than 2.5 million people found a job after applying to employment services (SZN), Izvestia was told in the Ministry of Labor. Some of them chose vacancies offered by employment services. But there were also those who got a job on their own, using various services of the SZN – assistance in career guidance, resume writing, training, interview training, the department added.
“In 2021, most of all, employers reported vacancies to the employment service for construction workers, drivers and mechanics, personal service workers, molders and welders, paramedical personnel and doctors, as well as managers in the hotel and restaurant business,” the ministry noted.
According to the Ministry of Labor, most often it is people who do not have a certain qualification who apply to employment services. They also talked about the launch of a program to increase youth employment in 2022.
The number of people employed through labor exchanges has been growing in recent years. For example, from January to October 2020, more than 1 million unemployed citizens found work and were deregistered at employment centers. In 2019, this figure was 660 thousand people, Izvestia reported earlier.
