The prosecutor’s office organized an inspection in connection with the collapse of floors in a shopping center under construction in the village of Selyatino near Moscow. This was reported on Friday, February 11, in the Telegram channel of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Moscow Region.
“During the inspection, which was entrusted to the Naro-Fominsk city prosecutor’s office, an assessment will be made of compliance with the requirements of federal legislation, including on labor protection and safety in the production of construction work. On behalf of the prosecutor of the Moscow region, Sergei Zabaturin, the Naro-Fominsk city prosecutor Vasily Antonov-Romanovsky left for the scene, ”the message says.
The incident in Selyatino occurred earlier that day, on February 11th. Two people died and three were injured in the collapse.
According to preliminary information, the cause of the incident could be a safety violation. In addition, the footage from the site of the collapse of the concrete fence shows the scale of the destruction.
The number of workers under the rubble is being established. Forensics are on the scene.
